New Treasure in Opelika!

Wednesday, December 22, 2010

A new type of service business in Opelika is now ready for its Grand Opening Open House Celebration and we hope you can attend and help us spread the word!

On Saturday January 8th from 7-4 Alabama Rural Ministry’s The Buildmore Store not only will be have a great selection of reclaimed appliances, furniture, building supply materials, tools, and more-but several activities for guests and children.

From the bouncy house, and a cake walk, to a hot dog cookout and “corn hole” games, there will be many things families can do in addition to strolling through our 9,000 square foot warehouse. Saturday will also have plenty of giveaways, coffee, and refreshments.  Plus, we are always taking donations for items that are gently used and in good working order. So, if you have a donation, remember us as you clean out and start fresh in the New Year. Plus, if you have artistic flare, several items make wonderful art mediums; from aged wooden doors that can turned into bed headboards, to sheet metal used for paintings, or tile for mosaics, there is something for the creative mind.

Alabama Rural Ministry shares the love of Christ through home repair and children’s ministry. We serve Lee, Macon, Chamber, and Sumter County through the use of volunteers who give up their time to work on homes. Most of the families we serve are elderly or have a disability and all are strained due to low and fixed incomes. All purchases made in the Buildmore Store help us literally “build more” for these gracious families in our community.

We are open Tues, Thurs, & Fri. 8-5 and Wed & Sat 8-12 for your shopping and donating convenience.
All donations are tax deductable.

We are located at 1302 1st Avenue in Opelika across from Thompson’s Building Supply.

Again, join us for the Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday Jan. 8th from 7-4 at the Buildmore Store. Rain or shine, we look forward to serving! We hope to see you there!
